The children’s department is looking for donations of Legos for the summer reading program. A Lego party will be held in August for those children who have read the required number of minutes during the summer. Kentland Public Library opened it’s doors on January 26, 1912 at 2:00 p.m. On or near the 26th of each month stop by the library for punch and cookies to celebrate the library’s 100 years of service to the Kentland community.
Throughout 2012 the library will be hosting activities celebrating 100 years of library service to the Kentland community. Watch for information on upcoming events.

Library staff will offer one on one training sessions on how to download library titles for eBooks and downloadable audios on Mondays, Tuesdays, & Thursdays beginning March 19.
Call 219-474-5044 to reserve a time slot.
Kentland Public Library has joined the Indiana Digital Download Center allowing our library patrons to access ebook titles and downloadable audio books 24/7 at no charge to the patron. Click on Indiana Digital Download Center located on the right hand side of the library’s web page under Links to browse for ttitles.
